Lynne MacRae
Starting at the age of three, Lynne studied for 19 years at The Anne Page School of Dancing in Fleet. She then became a member of The American Jazz Dance School, founded by Diane Youdale ('Jet' of the Gladiators).
She has performed in many dance and variety shows, including a Charity Gala at the Hackney Empire; productions of the hit musical ‘42nd Street’ at Guildford Civic Hall and the Hexagon Theatre, Reading; the 'Jolson, Formby and Crosby Show' at venues such as Blackpool, Great Yarmouth and the Isle of Man. She has danced in the pantomime ‘Cinderella’ at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool and ‘Aladdin’ at the Guildford Civic Hall, where she also played the Slave of the Ring. For three years she was a member of ‘Dance Athletica’, a Sports Dance Aerobics display team performing at Trade Shows and Fitness Conventions across the country.
Lynne has prevously provided assistance at William Cobbett Primary School, Weybourne and Cove Infants School After-school club. Currently, with her sister, Alison, she teaches dance at Heatherside School's After-school club.
With her sister Alison, she founded L.A Dance Centre in 1994. She is an Associate of International Dance Teachers Association; holds the Royal Society of Arts "Exercise to Music" qualification, the British Cheerleading Asociation NCSSE Level 2 & 3 teaching certificates and is an Acrobatic Arts certified teacher. She is CRB checked.
Lynne is a dedicated teacher who is proud to have inspired hundreds of student throughout her career to share her love of Dancing.
